Preserving worlds through words.
Martin Brejl Borup
Danish Phenomenologist & Social Theorist
Martin Brejl Borup is a graduate BPhil from The University of Southern Denmark. His main philosophical interests are a cross-section of the Germanic and analytical tradition, with a main focus on Phenomenology. While his central focus lies in formal and foundational questions, he aims keen specificity to philosophically address concrete socio-political realities. His chapter in this volume—co-written with Bjørn Rindbæk Larsen—reflects this orientation by exploring civil disobedience not merely as an act, but as a necessary, communicative tool in the political framework to signify a just measure in an unjust state.
Additionally, Borup is a musician, and is currently studying at The Royal Academy of Music Århus with Classical Voice (Opera).
