Preserving worlds through words.

FAQ

  • Why do you publish academic titles. What do you mean by front-facing?
Academia provides privileged access to information. The public is not always fortunate to engage deeply with information due to—just plainly put—the struggles of life and the oversaturation of information. So, what happens? We get an approach to knowledge that misses each other. With this, we lose the possibility of mutual recognition and shared insight. No one wins. What is common with publishers is to produce works that are diluted for the layman. But this misses an opportunity for us to dispel the layman, not by removing them, but by giving them access to information that changes the way they see the world. This destroys the idea of the layman. Sometimes academia forgets that we were, too, once laymen. It was only when someone gifted us information that we became knowledgeable. So, we plan to do the same. And you can’t do that with watered-down titles. We are creating a place for academia to reach out and the public to reach toward.
  • What other kinds of titles do you publish?
Front-facing academic titles that are accessible to the general public Literary fiction with experimental, inclusive, or world-altering themes Trade fiction driven by narrative depth and imaginative world-building Non-fiction with a distinctive, authorial voice Our goal is to preserve stories that challenge, transform, and endure.
  • I have a title, do you all have open submissions?
Unfortunately, we do not accept unsolicited submissions—unless from literary agents or agented writers. However, we do run one open call yearly for new titles, and two annual collections: one of scholarly works, and a themed poetry anthology. If any of your titles fall into these categories or time frames, send us an email at awatum@ofeverything.co Otherwise, all other calls will only accept submissions from Duosuma.
  • How are your books printed and shipped?
All orders are printed and fulfilled through Lightning Source, a leading print-on-demand distributor. This model allows us to reduce waste, avoid overproduction, and ensure every copy is printed as needed. Processing Time: 1–2 business days Delivery (U.S.): 5–10 business days Delivery (International): 10–21 business days Tracking numbers are provided once your order ships.
  • What is your refund policy?
We do not offer traditional refunds. Instead, we ask that if a book doesn’t resonate with you, consider passing it on to a friend, donating it to a library or community space, or leaving it somewhere to be discovered. Every book deserves a second life. We will of course replace damaged or incorrect orders. Just email us within 7 days of receipt.
