Marjorie Gowdy

Marjorie Gowdy writes and paints on a farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Author of three poetry chapbooks, Marjie is inspired by lush, rolling landscapes which open as a book with many pages, full of tales both exquisite and bittersweet. Her latest chapbook, “Pillow Fight,” was published in July 2024 by Prolific Press. While Marjie is working on a full-length manuscript of poems, “Confessions from the Bottomland,” she is also beginning to write fiction, including short stories as well as a novel of historical fantasy. Marjie is a retired art museum director and grants writer, grateful to spend her retirement enmeshed in creative pursuits.
