His research broadly focuses on social and political philosophy with particular emphasis on the continental tradition and questions of violent and nonviolent resistance. He is currently writing his dissertation titled “Frantz Fanon’s Critique of Violence,” which, by using the work of Frantz Fanon, seeks to give a more rigorous vocabulary for developing critiques of the violence of oppressive systems as well as thinking through the struggles involved in various forms of resistance in new contexts in the 21st century. His other publications relate to the work of Walter Benjamin, especially related to questions of the violence of history and the potential for resistance.
