DJ Murphy

DJ Murphy’s professional and creative goal is to create eye-level connections with people. He teaches the power of empathy in business as a guest lecturer at the University of California- Irvine and Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He received the Excellence in Communications Ethics Award from Duquesne University (his alma mater) for his work in helping companies be more human-centered. 

In 2025, he published his first full-length poetry collection, Seeking Ordinary Joy, which traces the emotional journey from restlessness and doubt, to healing and happiness. His poetry has also appeared in The Raven Review, Last Leaves, Dulcet Literary Magazine, and received the People’s Choice Award from the Art Alliance of Idyllwild.

He lives in California's Coachella Valley.
