Casey Rentmeester, Ph.D., is a professor of philosophy at Bellin College in Green Bay, WI, USA. He is author of Heidegger and the Environment, co-editor of Heidegger and Music, and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on environmental philosophy, medical ethics, social and political philosophy, and philosophy of peace. His newest book (Rational) Animal, which comes out in late 2025, outlines the relationship between humanity and the natural world through the holistic lens of philosophy, psychology, evolutionary biology, physics, and Eastern spirituality.
